About us
We are a technology company specialised in credit risk management, fraud, Marketing solutions and BPO. We help in the taking of optimal decisions thanks to the analysis of large amounts of data that we turn into intelligent information, relying on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
A little bit of our history:
Experian was founded in Nottingham, England, in 1980 to provide credit reporting services in support of the GUS Group mail order business.
In 1983, Experian introduced the concept of scoring (data analysis for decision-making) and that same year created the first automated application processing system aimed at customers.
In 1996, it acquired TRW Information Systems/Services, a leading credit agency in the US market. This operation, which would be followed by many others in subsequent years, would be the beginning of Experian's international phase.
Throughout the 1990s, Experian continued with the process of enterprise takeovers that it had started years earlier. The 1,700 employees the company had in 1991 now amount to more than 17,800.
In January 2021, Experian acquired Axesor Conocer Para Decidir, S.A. and its subsidiary Axesor Business Process Outsourcing, S.L., one of the entities dedicated to providing Information on Spanish Companies. Axesor is an innovative company with one of the most comprehensive and high-quality Business Information databases in Spain. In addition, it has a long tradition in the creation and design of innovative products, based on focusing on creating value and knowledge through data in order to help its customers in their decision-making.
As of today, the Experian Group is listed on the London Stock Exchange (EXPN) and is part of the FTSE-100.
